Michael Cogswell

Michael Cogswell is a DAC Ph.D. student in the department of electrical and computer engineering.  He works at the Machine Learning and Perception (MLP) Lab and is advised by Dhruv Batra, DAC faculty member.  His research interests include machine learning, computer vision, and artificial intelligence.

He wants to scale the ability of machine learning toward artificial intelligence by developing models that encompass an increasing amount what we call intelligence. In particular, he is focusing on deep learning (today’s neural networks) with applications to computer vision (vision).
