Yao Zhang

Yao Zhang is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the department of computer science.  His advisor is Aditya Prakash, DAC faculty member.  His research interests are in data mining and social network analysis with emphasis on understanding and managing information diffusion in networks.

Currently I am mainly focusing on topics such as controlling world-of-mouth adoption-style propagation on large networks, summarizing graphs w.r.t. social influence, detecting communities based on information cascades, etc.
