Brian Mayer
Brian Mayer is a research scientist at the Sanghani Center. He acts as a program and project manager providing technical, financial, resource, and logistical support for projects. He also leads efforts to identify and obtain funding for new projects.
He develops quantifiable solutions to real-world problems by leveraging information and data to improve processes and make more informed decisions. He has researched and analyzed a variety of transportation data in order to improve or implement methods and technologies to increase the safety and effectiveness of the global transportation system. He also has experience in the manufacturing and distribution industry, providing analysis and suggesting implementations to increase effectiveness.
He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial and systems engineering from Virginia Tech and is currently pursuing a Ph.D.
