K S M Tozammel Hossain was a DAC Ph.D. student in the department of computer science. His primary research interests broadly lie in applications of data mining and algorithmic techniques in computational biology and social networks. He was working on two projects: Protein Constraints Modeling and Modeling User States from Social Network data. The goal of the first project, funded by NSF, was to model evolutionary constraints in protein families.
